Gmail風のビューを実現するThunderbirdアドオン「Thunderbird Conversations」登場

　Mozilla Labsは12月7日、Thunderbird向けのアドオン「Thunderbird Conversations 2.0」アルファ1を公開した。ThunderbirdでGmailのような「カンバセーションビュー」を実現するという。

　Thunderbird Conversationsは、現在アルファ段階にあるThunderbird 3.3（開発コード「Miramar」）向けのアドオン。Thunderbird向けの既存アドオン「Gmail Conversation View」を書き直したものとなる。

　カンバセーションビューでは関連するメッセージを集め、未読メッセージは開き、既読メッセージは折りたたんで表示できる。Gmailと同様、ポップアップ表示も可能。このほかにも、コンタクト先のツールチップ、添付ファイルサムネイル、インライン返信などの機能がある。「BidiUI」「Enigmail」などサードパーティの拡張機能も統合できるという。

　Thunderbird Conversationsは現在プレビュー版で、今後も開発を続ける。なお、同アドオンは現行版であるThunderbird 3.1には対応しない。
